Hi Mark, please email a sample project with this problem to me at brian.sloman@microsurvey.com and we can look into optimizations.

    Hi Pat,
Have you tried the "Browse for Drawing" button on the Project Manager dialog? This opens up a standard Windows file browser, where you can set the view by Detail, and then sort by Date by clicking on the "Date modified" column header. Once a file is selected here, it will automatically be highlighted in the Project Manager dialog. This functionality was added in MSCAD 2010 SP1 (v10.2.0).

    Hi Kevin,
Have you looked at the command: MsDesign | Water Mains? This lets you insert symbols for the common fittings, and if desired you can set the Polar Snapping options to increment at 22.5 (instead of the default 90) degrees to make it easy to snap these angles.

    Hi John,
The AutoMap Library in MSCAD 2013 now supports both leading and trailing wildcards, so you can create AutoMap entries like *CIM*, *STONE*, *IP*, etc that will match anywhere within the field code. I believe this new functionality will address what you're wanting, but in a much different way from your proposed ^ wildcard character. Please let me know what you think.

Hi, can you clarify this request with some more details? As I'm sure you know a drawing can be copied or moved between any number of computers and edited on any of them, so I assume there is something specific that you would like done?

Hi, normally the snaps we set are meant to help and should be appropriate for the function. In this case, currently only the Node snap makes sense but as of the next update you will be able to use any point in the drawing with the 2-point inverse tool. Knowing this change is coming, would you still prefer to leave the snaps untouched during the inverse command, or are the current snap settings going to be more appropriate?

Hi, What exactly do you want to set the mouse buttons to do? You can reassign the middle mouse button from the default dynamic pan behaviour to popup a list of entitiy snaps, by typing MBUTTONPAN at your commandline and setting it to Off.
