Easier Multiple MSpoint layers without AutoMap
The ability to quickly toggle back and forth between multiple MSpoint layers would be greatly appreciated when using Microsurvey in the construction environment. This would greatly enhance functionality when creating construction layout data which is typically done by discipline, for example MS point layers: Control points, Grid Lines, Excavation, Structural concrete, Yard Piping, Grading etc. Currently using AutoMap to organize layout data is cumbersome.
This ability is now available in MicroSurvey CAD 2016, via two new options in the AutoMAP Library. The new Group Codes option lets you specify multiple codes to be used with a single AutoMAP entry, and the new Group Range option lets you specify a range of Point IDs to be used with an AutoMAP entry. In both cases, all of the options for layering, coloring, symbol placement, automatic linework and so on are all applied to the group, without having to create an entry for each individual point description. A brief video demonstrating this feature is available in the MicroSurvey CAD 2016 Upgrade Tour here: http://www.microsurvey.com/products/mscad/upgrade.htm

Yes that could work. Just have a user defined point layer matrix defining what layers the points go on, then set the begin point number toggle accordingly to manage the data. It need not be complicated.

I think it would be helpful if a range of points i.e. 2000..2999 would automaticaly go to predesignated MS points layers.
