  1. Only complaint I have about MSCAD, you REALLY need to get a good least squares routine in here for adjusting networks etc. Softdesk had great least squares back in 1995 but it's still lacking in MSCAD.

Very frustrating to get told by your trainer to buy Starnet because yours is too quirky and difficult to get results with.

  3. Would like the program to have the ability to automatically know if I'm using just one number or a range by looking for the ".." in the input instead of having to tell it.

  5. In current version MSCad will calculate and then apply a correction to bearings (e.g., the file is in UTM but you want to enter "plan bearings"). On projects with many plans on different bearing references, it would be nice to store the angle for each plan and then select it from a list. The correction angles could be used to create a table for a legend of bearing corrections.

  6. When fitting to an old astronomic plan I generally use a Helmert's Transformation. This causes problems when the rotation of the "local" points to the plan points is applied since bearings no longer match the listed plan. If you could disable the rotation and have a best fit translation it would help considerably.

  8. An area inside of the Microsurvey drawing in order to explain a boundary fix/other issues within the drawing. Perhaps a pop up when you open the drawing stating that it has comments attached to it.

  9. It would be great if a routine was there to create breaklines by just clicking on existing lines and/or the same way lines are created by point number and range of point numbers. Better yet would be to have any lines in a drawing to be used as a breakline.

I think there are ways we can make this easier. If you know all the commands in MicroSurvey you can use them to accomplish the task, but there is a good reason to make it easier by adding some functionality to the MsSurface menu in the breakline area.
